Mark is a long time Santa Barbara resident, a UCSB graduate, and an owner/builder handyman with over 30 years of experience in property maintenance, remodeling and renovations.


Sharon Baird

Sharon Baird - Business Manager

Sharon was born and raised in the Santa Barbara area and her career has included numerous leadership positions with local senior care facilities prior to opening Your Handyman & Construction. Sharon has a masters degree in nutrition, an MBA in finance, holds several licenses in the senior care industry, school food administration and oversees marketing and accounting for Your Handyman & Construction.

Laura was born and raised in Santa Barbara and is a proud alumni of Santa Barbara High School. She has extensive experience in front office management, customer service and is in charge of our day to day operations.

Jeff was born and raised in Santa Barbara, is a licensed general contractor and successfully ran his own construction firm for many years. He is skilled in all types of carpentry, tile, plumbing, and electrical work. Jeff is experienced in all types of remodels and additions.

Lew is a long time Goleta Valley resident, has two sons who are DP graduates and has worked in the building trades for the past 20+ years. He has locally operated his own general contracting and handyman business in the past, and has also worked in Facilities Management for a large local housing provider.

Kenny was born and raised in Carpinteria and has four children attending school in Carpinteria. He has worked in the building trades his entire adult life and was owner/operator of his own general contracting business for many years. Todd was born and raised in Santa Barbara and attended local schools. He has extensive experience in facilities management with local high tech and defense contracting firms. Much of his time away from work is spent with his two children at their sports events. In his free time he is an avid fisherman and loves playing the drums.

We ensure the safety of your family and employees in two ways. One is that all our Service Technicians have passed a background check. There are many "contractors" out there, who are convicted felons and registered sex offenders. Be careful who you let in your home...

Two, we minimize the risk of accidents happening in your home or office, by following all OSHA workplace safety requirements.

2. We Are Easy to Reach

Unlike a solo operator, working out of his pickup and armed with a cell phone: we have dedicated office staff answering the phone, and monitoring emails. One of the biggest complaints from consumers is how difficult it is to get hold of their contractor - particular when something has gone wrong. You will never have that issue with Your Handyman & Construction.

3. We Show Up On Time

Contractors showing up late - or not at all - is another source of consumer headaches. Even for the best intentioned contractor, showing up on time is actually very difficult. The nature of our work has lots of variability and unexpected surprises, and completing in progress projects generally takes priority over starting the next planned project.

We can't make the variability and surprises magically go away- but we can mitigate its effects. We use special scheduling software, managed by our office staff, to ensure we always have a clear view of our overall work schedule. If issues arise that require a change in plans- we will proactively call you to let you know.
